Looking for high res images of Europe.

Does anyone one know good places to get high resolution images of European landmarks such as the eiffel tower, tower of london and so on. Its for a college project and the images will be manipulated in detail so the higher the resolution the better.

All 10MP+. As long as they will never be used anywhere commercial this is a much easier way of getting them.

for some college projects you will have to supply copyright info (for instance if the college want you show your project at an expo) make sure you do not get caught out

Not as easy to just "take" them from Google. There's copyright retained in some photos.

there is a 'creative commons' on flickr that might have what you are looking for

again, please respect the owners legitimate copyright - in many cases it would just be a matter of emailing/explaining what you are at, and you would find them absolutely fine with you using the image for the purpose stated.

also, try the wikimedia site

and finally, try

www.sxc.hu - each image here will have clear indication of how you an use it - broadly they will be free but may require attribution or other form of consideration to be engaged with.
