Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'm looking for a genuine, or at least good quality Pentax -> M42 ring adapter for my K-x to use an old Hanimex 300 f=4

The internet is full of purported genuine ones, all different, and dozens of third party copies.

Has anyone found a reputable place to buy a genuine, or come across good third party adapters???

Thought about it many times (brilliant M42 lenses can be really cheap) but never went that route - I always remember the horror stories of people getting them stuck, needing to have them surgically removed, and generally things not working out.

If going that route i'd suggest maybe only buying a genuine Pentax one (they are out there), and then exercising caution in their use.

I'm sure other must have them in use on a daily basis so i'm probably just a bit overly cautious.

I've used a Pentax MX with a Pentax M42 adaptor and screw mount 21mm Rikenon lens (superb quality) for years.

    No problems.

Yeah i'm aware that the genuine article is least likely to get stuck, its just that they are so hard to tell apart from a copy, and rare...

Do you know anyone in the US that can send to you? The Pentax US website carries them for a good price.
Also, I've tried Fotodiox ones, and they are very well-made.
