Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

What do you mean by "incorrect symbols"?

You'll see keyboards setup for different parts of the world that will differ from country to country. These regional settings are probably where the issue lies.

    Is the keyboard layout correct:

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/258824

explains how to change it just select Irish instead of Canadian French.

Many thanks for replies from Rented Mule, Odaise Gaelach and Hearny but Hearny was spot on on how to change keyboard layout. The @ ' and ~ #
characters all back at proper keys.
A further question is :- One key has $ for upper case and 4 and character
for the Euro for lower case. How do I get the Euro character to write. Mine is Sony Laptop Vaio VGN-NS11J

Much obliged Adam, that worked fine to get € character. Thought when I
input keyboard for English (Irish) the € character would automatically work
but not so, seems they do not know we use Euro Currency in Ireland, but not in the Six Counties of course.

only work if your computer keyboard Regional and language setting are set to European eu country language.

Under Control Panel window configure the keyboard settings in Regional and language. Or with vista or 7 use the searching method to find it or under my Computer
Menu. Typed Regional and language and it find for you and double click on it to open it.

    Regional and language options
Is to change Regional and language option settings to set your right requirements so you can understand your computer in own Regional and language settings. Because most computers are setup in American English Regional and language option settings or sometimes maybe set in the Regional and language option settings wherever you buy it. Change Regional and language settings to suit your needs or customer needs. Also under language menu details section in settings submenu change the keyboard language because most computers are setup in American English keyboard language option settings or sometimes maybe set in the keyboard language option settings wherever you buy it. Change keyboard language settings to suit your needs or customer needs.

"Alt Gr" + "4" does the same thing, just one button less to press by the way.
