A 3650 will run cod4 and cs:s without any trouble at 1280 x 1024 but the upgrade from your 4200 would be at best minor.
save your money and buy something like an ati 56xx /57xx get some bang for your buck and future proof yourself. who knows what games will catch your eye tomorrow.

    Yea, but two of them?

Would barely perform as well as a HD4650. And that's assuming CF will play ball with whatever titles you want to play...

u can pick up a decent new card that would run games well for years to come for about €100

    ATI HD5770

whats the max amount you can spend?

An ATI 5770 or even a 5750 will open up just about every single game to you, at silky smooth framerates (actually makes your aiming, hitreg, etc better in multiplayer games)

If you really can't stretch your budget that far, then you can grab something for 40 or 50 that'll run those games

+1. If you have the PSU overhead you can just grab a HD4830/9800GT/8800GTX from Adverts for peanuts nowadays ;)

What about an 8600gt 256mb ddr3 for €29 posted. I can't seem to find anything going for cheap on adverts. I'm in Clare btw.

you'd get a much better 8800GTS 320meg card from the same price( although considering an extra 10-15 euro should bag a decent 8800GT its kinda a weird choice ), but if you only play the games listed above then it will run them fine, its a waste to spend 30euro on a crappy card instead of 80euro on an excellent card that will play everything completely maxed at the resolution you use. I mean the 50euro difference is just slightly more than a full price game.

Adverts has gone to $hit of late, people selling 4850's for 80euro and max i could get for my old 5850( about 3-4 times faster card lol ) was 130euro so ended up selling it to a mate.

I'll leave it then until I get more cash to burn :P Bought black ops for €16.64 instead :Dhttp://keys4.me

I'd recommend them, although, I have to find a way to convert the game out of russian xD

EDIT: Coupon code "Uncovered" got me 10% off :P

EDIT 2: Actually the game is in English haha!!!

    Gah! 8600gt.. rubbish!

Black Ops is a bit more power hungry than the others..

The 5770 has dropped to 100 euros on pixmania, still top recommendation, really worth the investment

If you wanna browse ebay.ie you should look for the following

    Nvidia 8800GT, 9800GT

    ATI 4850, 4770

40 to 60 euros second hand... will be 3 or 4 times faster than a "30 euro" card, or infinitely faster than your current setup really

The HD4770 is particularly desirable - it was AMD's first 40nm card and has very low power consumption while performing nearly as well as a current GTS450/HD5750 but it was a rare card and I suspect there aren't that many available second-hand, still if you see one cheap it's a great piece of kit :)
