    Darren Bent's move to Villa nets us at least £4m, according to reports, as the top-up clauses have all been activated by the level of fee. This is probably why Sunderland rejected the first bid of £18m, which didn't look bad on the face of it.
    This could be a landmark deal for us. First, the money more than pays for pienaar, so Kranjcar stays put unless silly money comes from Liverpool or Chelsea. Secondly, £4m can go towards the striker we need, be it Suarez/Lukaku/Fabiano/Adebayor. Third, it gives Sunderland money, which may bring them to our door for Pav or Keane. Lastly, it inflates a market that a number of Tottenham players may be sold into. What price Gio/Corluke/palacios, or any of the rest now? bent was complaining 18 months ago that we were overpricing him. We've now attained the level where relative dissapointing stints at the Lane do not have to devalue a player.

    Ya would be nice if they took keane off us Bruce is a quality manager though don't know if we can trick him into taking him ;)

    Keane won't go there. Won't leave London so either Wham or Fulham on the last day I'd say. Though hopefully Bruce will take the Russian off our hands!
