UEFA have published their interim Fair Play list, where the top three countries send an extra representative to the first round qualifier of the Europa League for 2011/12. The final table will be published in May.
The Republic of Ireland are just off the pace in fourth spot.

"....Taking into account matches up until 31 December 2010, frontrunners Norway, second-placed England and third-placed Sweden lead the race for the three additional slots in the first qualifying round of the 2011/12 UEFA Europa League. These intermediate rankings only take into consideration national football associations that have played a minimum of 27 games. The cut-off point has been calculated by dividing the total number of UEFA matches by the number of UEFA member associations......."

    1. Norway 8.34
    2. England 8.225
    3 Sweden 8.172
    4. Rep. of Irl 8.15
    5. Germany 8.148
    6. Denmark 8.142
    7. Iceland 8.088
    8. Finland 8.081
    9.Spain 8.064
    10. France 8.058

The Airtricity League 2010 Fair Play list is separate from the Premier Division table and like the other domestic Fair Play tables any representative will be taken from that table.

The UEFA calculation is based on UEFA-sponsored games, 11-a-side, Men (I understand) and is completed by April 30th 2011.

    Dates for the diary:
23 March - 28th March U17 UEFA Elite Group in Greece 3 games.
26th March Euro 2012 qualf. Rep. of Ireland v. Macedonia

There is not much opportunity to improve but atmosphere at games is part of the scoring, so there is something Ireland Fans could do at the next Euro game.

Warning: average scores may fall aswell as rise.

Would be great for the league in terms of both exposure and finance to have another club in the Europa.

First it's a credit to a club who wins their Fair Play award. Alot of times the club that finishes first has already qualified for Europe so the domestic representatives may be a club from mid-table or below. The club should welcome the prestige and image of success that playing in Europe provides.

Certainly UEFA don't want their FAIR PLAY award to be a burden on any clubs or leagues that recieve the it. At the moment one round f the European League qualifiers is worth €90,000 from UEFA alone, so that's considered break-even while a second round may put clubs into profit for their European excursions.
