Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Just saw a small bird in the back garden.

At first, I thought it was a Chaffinch, but it was smaller and skinnier, with a reddish cap, and a yellow(ish) bill. It also appeared to have yellow stripes on it's wings.

Sorry for such a vague description, but I only saw it for a couple of seconds before one of the dogs went out the back.

Any ideas as to what it was?

    Thanks.

Probably Redpoll but could be Goldfinch though I don't associate the latter as having a yellow bill.

I'd say Goldfinch. Not likely to see a Redpoll here. It'd be Lesser Redpoll. And neither of those would lead to that impression of yellow wing bars.

Check out Goldfinch on Google. See what ye think.
