Its tight at the top, and missing out on the top four is really going to hurt for somebody.
So, who do you think it will be?

    1/Man U
    2/Chelsea
    3/Arsenal
    4/Man City

and missing out, I predict Spurs!
I just think they rely on Bale and VDV too much, and teams are getting wise to them

So much depends on how well the squads cope with European football and this imo gives City a significant edge over the Champions league playing teams.

    1) Man Utd
    2) Man City
    3) Arsenal
    4) Chelsea

    Anyway. Real answer this time.

    Manchester United
    Arsenal
    Tottenham
    Manchester City

It'd be better than having 4 London clubs in the CL I suppose. :pac:

To be fair, as a United fan I haven't enjoyed any league title as much as the one where we pipped Liverpool a couple of years ago. I do enjoy seeing them suffer and all that at the moment, I can't help it, but I'd much rather a title battle with them.

Nice idea but City are in the Europa which is at the last 32 stage whereas the Champions League is at the last 16 so if they were to go all the way they would have to play two more games than if they were in the CL.

Tbf the Europa League is and should be of secondary importance to City and Mancini. He should be using it to give a run to the likes of Given/Adebayor if their still with you. City prolly have as good a team that's in it with their second string anyway.

I watched it too and saw an excellent rearguard performance that Spurs struggled to break down. Spurs might nab 4th, but it'll require a big **** up from City, Arsenal or Chelsea for them to do it.

I have to agree with this. Spurs are 5th at the moment and doing well having lost only once in the last 14 games, but City are showing great form, and Chelsea might start getting theirs back, meaning Arsenal would have to drop off and I don't see that happening. Spurs will need a very strong finish to the season and a lot will depend on possible progression in the CL.

Yes you are right, UTD have very little to offer in attack, City will also finish higher than UTD this season

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,794 ✭✭✭Mr. Guappa

I think that United and Arsenal will definitely be in the Top 3, probably 1 & 2. After that you've got to fancy Chelsea recovering at some stage to finish 3rd, leaving Spurs and City to fight it out for 4th - heart says Spurs but head says City.

However, 4th place will mean a Europa League spot for City after Spurs win the Champions League. :pac:

errm united took that record already. they both have 18 so its not longer liverpools "record".

ive no idea how it will pan out, long way to go yet. arsenal have an "easier" fixture list to play though united have games in hand a a few points to spare. united trip to blackpool is vital, if they win they, i think they will be hard to knock off.

    Pedantic :P

Maybe I should have put down surpass Liverpool's 18 titles.

At the moment Utd are clear favourites, but they wont go the season unbeaten and Arsenal and City are in wiht a shout,Chelsea maybe, if we get lucky might have a chance.

I am now fairly confident that United will win the league. The points difference, combined with us still finding form, I think will lead to it. Also I suspect we'll go out of the CL once we encounter a tough opponent, which I don't think applies as much to Chelsea or Arsenal (weird I know).

After that, I really haven't a clue what will happen.

Spurs, every time I watch them I am impressed. They rode out a tough spell and seem to be really finding some form. Their squad depth is also getting even stronger with people returning from injuries, and the right striker signing could seem them up even higher than the top 4.

City look great, but I wonder if it'll last. I think fundamentally squad rotation will be a problem for them, especially due to the extra European games. It's quite likely that they will play the most European games due to the ease of the UEFA against the CL. I think still that they are defensively weak, and as a result, Mancini's overcompensation will lead to more and more dropped points, especially with tired legs. I also think that their recent form, Wolves, Blackpool, Villa at home, draw at Arsenal away, will change with Villa, Brum, United away, and WBA home. I can't see them personally picking up more than 7 points there. Although if they do, it'll certainly be interesting.

Chelsea are a mystery. They might click, and decide to come second. It's entirely, entirely up to them. If they don't, they could end up 6th the way its going!

Arsenal are a team who are on the up, and with Van Persie back, I think they are going to certainly, certainly, be in the top 4. The only other team I'd say about that is United.

    1. Man Utd (by at least 3 pts)
    2. Man City
    3. Chelsea
    4. Arsenal (fights off Spurs on the last day)

I think United's fixture list will make it a very close run thing, but they'll probably do enough. Arsenal second, Chelsea/City making up the other CL qualification spots.

I think united will win it tbh.

City will fall away as will Arsenal. An on form Van Persie could be key though.

    Chelsea too far back imo

Obviously luck needed regarding injuries to key players etc

Competition wise its been a fascinating EPL.

Quality wise it's been poorer than recent seasons.

    United
    Arse
    Chelsea
    City
