Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Sky & Aerial combination

I'm probably going to answer my own question but I have a direct connection from the Sky box RF out to an upstairs TV (Sky eye on same line upstairs). Using a multiplexor can I incorporate the cable from the aerial and the sky rf out cable and run 1 cable to the TV. Does this allow

    a) have sky on 1 channel
    b) analogue on another channel
    c) continued use of the sky eye

    thanks

What's connected to the Sky box RF in?

nothing as far as i'm aware. one rf out is used for the signal to the tv and other sends the sky signal up to the bedroom. i have to incorporate an analogue signal into this line to the bedroom.

You know analogue is ending before end of 2012?

Also feeding the aerial direct to Sky RF in is simplest as then its signal is on RF1 and RF2 outputs of the Sky box.

Just connect your terrestrial signal/cable to the aerial in/RF in terminal on the sky box. The sky box will distribute it out on whichever RF channel you select in the sky box menu. Default set to 68

thanks for the replies but i should have mentioned its not possible to connect an rf in to the box. the only option is to pick up the analogue feed in the attic and ideally distribute this on same cable as sky digital to tv in bedroom. i remember reading something about this which i thought was the multiplexor. i know about the analogue shutdown alright watty.cheers

An ordinary splitter should work as they are all RF signals. You may have to change the RF channel setting in the sky box. Depends what frequencies your terrestrial channels are on.
