Is it possible to incorporate a spell checker into the post function, where by you can use it to check a large post before posting it?

It would be a pretty handy feature i would certainly use alot., plus it would also see the end of those dam spelling nazi's

Cue - "learn to spell" replies

Notice how i avoided blatantly obvious spelling errors in this post to make a point. :pac:

Have spell checker as well, presuming it's part of the browser I use which is firefox.

I use to use the firefox spellchecker but my settings got messed up a bit so reverted back to plain old google .So unless it's a quick one , I tend to review any longer posts for spelling errors before posting

( drunks posting or occasional slang doesn't count ) :pac:

As for grammer Nazis their is of one whom I would love to shove a custard pie in his /her face :)

Yeah firefox checks mine, though not in the quick reply box which is a mild irritation. What browser are you using?

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

Silly question but did you click on the paper & quill button at the bottom right of the post you were quick replying to?

It's this: quickreply.gif button the the skin I'm using (beta) but yeah, gotta hit that to use quick reply. It's beside the quote button in every post.

I never used that button before, any time i tried to use it i just tried to use the quick reply box at the end of the page, granted it was a few years ago - and haven't tried since!

A spellcheck won't catch 'loose' when everyone means 'lose'!

Also, after you download the ie spellcheck, you can use it for posts on any other forum outside boards.ie. Just right click on the post, and then select the spellcheck option.
