Java course recommendation

Hi folks,
Can anyone recommend a good evening java course? My background is purely support but I have since quit working to be a full time parent (other half is working). The plan is to study development for the next 2 years and hopefully get a career out of it. Ive been reading the "For Dummies" book (2nd time around now) and like it, I also have the official SCJA manual and will start that soon

Excellent course, but tough if your new to programming. Its distance learning, you get all the books and 4 tutorials through out the year. Its about the first equivalent of the 2 years of a college course learning Java as that's what I'm doing now and can work towards a degree.

I did it and highly recommend it.

Here's another course that might be of interest. Its the Introduction to Computer Science Programming Methodology class CS106A.

Its a computer science class that is done in Stanford University and you get all the lectures approx 50minutes long, all on you tube or iTunes or you can bit torrent them.(Very entertaining lecturer)
You download the whole package that includes the software, handouts, assignments and solutions and lecture notes.

Seems a fairly good course I've only watched the first few lectures and a good grounding in Java
