Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I take the kids at the weekends over night and some times on a school night.
I lost my job a few months ago and now im getting social welfare payment of €188 a week, Now the is mother is not working and she is getting all her intitlements for herself and the kids but i was wondering can i clam any extra social payments for the kids because i take them for so many days of the week.

    Thanks

As the children's mother has them full time, and is claiming for them on her Social Welfare payment, you cannot claim for them also.
While you are working, you can claim One Parent Family tax credit however. Check revenue.ie for more information on that.

If you weren't availing of the one parent tax credit when you were working, you can apply to Revenue for it to be back paid to you.

if you have to travel some distance by public transport to either collect or visit your kids you may be entitled to some help with the costs from your CWO. worth looking into.
