I admire the cc for standing up to AL management. They tried to force through unfair rosters without any consultation.

My view is that is that while neither side have won the battle, Impact have saved face and AL got what they wanted - cheers

French pilots, flight attendants threaten strike over retirement benefits

French pilots and flight attendants are threatening to strike over retirement benefits in the run-up to school holidays.
UNAC, the main union for commercial flight personnel, told its members February 1 that it was giving notice for an imminent strike. The notice was to be sent to the prime minister’s office and the transport ministry.
The airline pilots union SNPL Alpa has called for strike action from March 4 to March 7, a school vacation weekend."

IMPACT have won nothing. Everything has gone the way of management.
The only answer to the attacks by big business, and it's agent the state, is for working people to unite and organise independently of the unions.
The struggle referred to above in France has the same issues as those of the Aer Lingus staff.

If business can co-operate behind the scenes to savage the conditions and livelihoods of the working people then the working people must equally come together to take on big business.

It's not quite clear how this has affected the AL share price in relation to other market forces, a comparison with other air lines might be necessary.

But at the end of the day this has tarnished AL reputation and some people will choose other carriers , all else being equal , whom they perceive as being more reliable.

Anyone got prices on how much this cost , including the discount on seats for the next while ?
