Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

You're right, but for someone with no alarm on their bike who cannot afford to get one; it's a start.

No harm as an additional deterrent on top of your usual lock. Just remember to carry a bungee cord or similar to attach to your handlebars to remind you the lock is there!

I never said to use it as a replacement for a good lock though! I was just pointing out the fact that it is not bad for the price.

Edit: Beaten to it by Seamus

The alarm works on shock, soon as its touched the alarm goes off, i bought one last time they were on sale and they are not bad for the price. no lock is 100% secure but it does have a good loud siren

Is it very sensitive? I'd like one to throw one on over my usual locks (mostly because my bike is parked outside my bedroom window and it'd alert me pretty fast) but not if it's going to be going off with every gust of wind.

there are quiet sensitive but never had any problems with the wind, you can also use it as a regular lock, just depends on the direction of the u part of the lock.

The siren function will help out forgetful riders too!!

I never used a disc lock on my bike - I was always scared I'd forget it was there!

I had one on a shed before. The siren is pretty good. Worth having imo if your bike is parked outside a window. Obviously use in addition to whatever other security you normally use as opposed to on its own.
