    hi what is a proprietary small sewage treatment plant??
    looking various energy systems on the web
    is there a business in this market or do the state play a role in this area

    Basically, it is a septic tank with an aerator in it. It is buried in the garden and accepts your foul water. The aerator speeds up the action of bacteria breaking down the waste. The clean-ish water is then pumped or gravity fed to a percolation area where is soaks into the ground.

    There are loads of companies providing these, and the govt have nothing to do with them except through regulation (i.e. no grants etc).
    It has nothing to do with renewable energies, in fact it prob costs at least 200 in energy costs a year to run.

    Plenty of companies out there already providing this stuff, you'd probably need a fair bit of training to be able to specify one of these, including percolation tests etc.
