Malaria caught on camera breaking and entering cell

I should really fish out my haematology notes. But a synopsis is the parasite generates proteins that affect the red cell membrane, changing its shape and making it more sticky and less inclined to be removed by the spleen.
Interesting to see it happening so fast.
