Bruce Springsteen and Dropkick Murphys

Bruce Springsteen guest stars on the forthcoming new album by Dropkick Murphys.

The New Jersey rocker duets with frontman Ken Casey on a cover of the 1913 song ‘Peg O' My Heart’, which is best known in the UK as the theme from 1986 BBC TV series The Singing Detective.

Casey said of the duet: "It links two generations. We're spanning a lot of years of music here, yet our songs share similar themes, stories, and values."

The track features on the band's seventh studio album ‘Going Out In Style', due for release on February 28. The album also features a guest appearance from NOFX frontman Fat Mike.

Dropkick Murphys will tour Europe in April.

There doing a European tour soon everywhere except UK/Ireland and doing Groezerock festival in Belgium. There back in August doing Area 4 /Highfield festival so they will prob do Reading/Leeds so maybe we will get date or they might just do a proper tour later in the year .

Cant wait till there back , one of the top gigs last year

Just noticed on their FB Page that they are finalising UK and Irish dates so should get an announcement soon.

US west coast & Canada shows are already in the works. Coming very soon people. South & south east US will be next in the pipeline as well as the UK & Ireland/Scotland. Trying to get everywhere folks! Now get off your computers & phones, grab a drink & put on some tunes. Come on, it's Friday!

Bruce came on stage with the Murphys last night in Boston. excellent clips on youtube this morning. Their new video for "Going out in Style" is excellent
