Well im doing an assignment and its asks for me to outline the main provision of the act. is provision the same as purpose?:)

I'd go with:

-Who does the Act cover

-Who isn't covered under the Act

-What are the reasons for dismissal deemed to be unfair under the Act

-What are the reasons for dismissal deemed to be fair under the Act

-What are the remedies for unfair dismissal

That should just about cover it.

Actually don't bother going into who is covered under the Act too much.

More important to lay most of the emphasis on persons who aren't covered under the Act.
