can i fit a pci sata card to a ide computer

    hi can anybody plz help..i have a sata hard drive i want to connect to my computer which is a emachines and is ide..i have 3 slots at the back end of the computer so i think it can be done..can any tech heads confirm this plz before i buy one.thanks in advance

    If you're buying the PC, don't. Get a proper machine.

    If you're buying the drive, then I'd say buy an IDE drive, an external, or if you're really bothered get a SATA PCI card and use that.

    hi the drive is from a diff computer and o already have the pc just need to know can I fit the sata drive To my IDE computer with a pci sata card.thanks

    Just get a SATA to IDE converter something like this.
