but that's why Villa paid the money.

i said it in the Liverpool thread, if Bent was called Bentinho, he'd be lauded as well priced at £18m.

a big loss for City, but it sounds like they were a little unlucky from what i've heard.

thats exactly it. just coz he's english, and english players tend to be overpriced, bent gets tarred with the same brush despite the fact that after that goal today NOBODY has scored more goals in the league than him in the last 5 years

it doesn't take away from Bent in the slightest.

Ronaldo is one of two phenomena playing football right now and absolutely tore up the League, in a style very few of us, if any, have seen.

it's why he cost £80m, and Bent only cost £18m.

Just a general observation of how great he is. I think it shows how superior he is to the likes of Rooney who was stupidly being hailed as the best in the world by certain media outlets last year.
