Thankfully, we no longer have any "dumps" in Limerick, we do however, have recycling centre's, unfortunately the Civic Amenity Centre in Mungret is not open Sunday or Monday

Pretty much anywhere between Patrick street and O'Connel Avenue can be considered one.

Could I get rid of an old mattress and some old chairs in Mungret. Would there be a rough cost for that?

Edit: Just checked, can't take a mattress there. Anyone know where you can legally dispose of mattresses...?

If you read the Limerick Post free newspaper, there are several collectors of domestic junk such as old mattresses advertising in the small adverts,
    and they'll collect by arrangement.

Just make sure they're licensed and legit. You don't want the authorities calling to you a few weeks later threatening you with prosecution for littering :)

It's probably a bit far away but Donohill recycling centre will take pretty much anything. Took two trailor-loads recently. €40 per trailor, got rid of mattresses, couch, chairs etc.
