    Is this repeated ?

I think it's repeated later on in the week on BBC 3, otherwise try FinalGear.

EDIT: Seems it's repeated on Wednesday at 7pm on BBC HD if you have it

Also on standard BBC2 digital and analogue at the same time.

It was utter kack. I'm sick and tired of these silly tests and competitions. They don't review cars anymore.

Fifth Gear all the way - Tiff Needell, Jason Plato, VB Henderson and now Ben Collins (the Stig) - ALL racing drivers and ALL with opinions that actually matter and with judgement you can trust if you are looking to buy a car.

Ah well, Ben Collins has been a bit meh so far as a presenter, but maybe he will find his feet.

And I don't mind some mucking about as long as its not to the detriment of the feature, the 911 test had no substance.. it was just filler so they could drop a car from a helicopter.

But certainly its nice to know that a presenters opinion is his own, and he isn't just playing top gears good cop/bad cop routine, where one guy loves the car and the other hates it, when in reality thats not their opinion at all.. they are just playing along a script/formula/old record

The show has sadly lost its magic :(. Was fun while it lasted though!

Mind you I'll still watch it as there's sweet FA else worth watching on tv these days!

Sensitive much? He made a joke about himself not the famine!

Bah, seen this car drop one on mythbusters before.

Any excuse to see a Flattened Beetle is fine by me.

Another thing they borrowed "from another show" (as Jeremy said) was the idea of the off-road tattoo: it's from Jackass: The Movie:

(the best video I can find is dubbed, but you don't need to know what they're saying ...)

You are the type of what the age is searching for, and what it is afraid it has found. I am so glad that you have never done anything, never carved a statue, or painted a picture, or produced anything outside of yourself! Life has been your art. You have set yourself to music. Your days are your sonnets.

There was nothing crude about it and there was no reason to be offended. The jackass in question is/was a regular on The Panel and as he said himself he was with Jason Byrne at the time so there was no malice in it, he admitted he had no idea about it, he didn't make a joke about it.

It wasn't in motors, that's what was wrong with it.

Have to agree but has anyone watched Top Gear in the hope of buying a car? I know I haven't. 5th Gear is the same. Ok, they do some cars that I could afford but most I couldn't come near to.

TG lost that edge a long time ago. Its entertainment now apparently. My issue isn't with the lack of reviews etc, its the lack of humor and general substance to the show. Its a lame show that is going nowhere and hasn't been since about the American special. It used to be hilarious and I'd be dying for the next week. The helicopter bit was just excessive as was the fire. Looked great but who cares about a Yeti? The Ferrari bit also wasn't funny. It dragged on and on and on. Its base argument was flawed entirely.

Its the first time I ever took a phone call during the show and didn't care I was missing it. Sad reflection really. Top gear should just die away peacefully. Its had its day.

Top Gear is what it is, and what it is not is a proper motoring show.

BBC need to get a proper motoring show where cars can be tested and reviewed. Like that show in the 80's, Top Gear I think it was.

There is room for both a TG and a proper show about cars.

Top Gear will never win, that's what it's trying to do; suit everyone. fast cars, comedy, serious Car reviews it's just not possible.
It's hard making car videos, even harder when you have to entertain everyone, but I still love Top Gear.

Wasn't great but I know what to expect from Top Gear so I'll always keep watching.

Heh, Clarkson has begun to age badly in very recent years. His head is almost melting :D

Folks, sorry to hijack but anyone know if there's a repeat on this week? (station & time)? Missed the show, can't find any decent tv guides!
    Cheers

Makes me think she will be back some other week in this series - they couldn't have brought her in for just a 1.5 sec clip alone.
