It's an AH thread about an Alison O'Riordan article about Trinners. Why are you taking it seriously??
Maybe because it genuinely is an extremely prevalent view amongst people with massive chips on their shoulders.

Why is Trinity a college for rich kids? People from UCD, DIT, DCU and all the rest got into their colleges through the exact same process, the CAO. Trinity is no more expensive than any of the others.

That is actually a really good point but I know from my 'peers' of the past that it is mostly smart arsed daddy's boys/girls that do in fact go there!

See the thing is, why does them being PhD students, or Trinity students have any bearing on the fact that they went on a drinking/ weed holiday? How does this make it a story? There are literally thousands of people in this country who get up to worse every weekend, but that wouldn't make it a story.

It's this Alison burd's ignorance that annoys me. Even if it was true, it's still a non-story. So some douchebags acted like douchebags on holiday, big deal. Some girl woke up with lads being freaks, fair enough that's appauling behaviour, but there's more newsworthy abuse stories than 3 lads having a **** in the same room as a girl.

I think that having a sense of humour helps you see the big picture.

I both adressed the serious point and went with the joke in another post. And we had to forfeit our sense of humors on enrollment. Something about jokes making people from outside the campus walls like us.

What i find most interesting is the 3 males who had a tommy tank in a girl's room while she was asleep. How does something like that come about? If one of my mates got his c.ck out one of the furthest things from my mind would be me deciding to get mine out, much less have a jimmy choo over a sleeping classmate. Then, for a third guy to do the same is quite something.
My guess is this article is just hyperbole from a hack with a chip on her shoulder

I remember asking a young fellow what he wanted to do after school.
His reply was 'go to Trinity'. I enquired as to what course it was that had him so eager to go to Trinity. He told me that he had no idea what he wanted to do but that he would do something in Trinity.

I now understand his mindset. Wanker.

Trinity was the only place I wanted to go as well.

Have you seen the state of the pubs around Belfield and DCU?
