Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi I hope I am in the right area to ask for help apologies if not!

I wanted to get rid of gambling sites from my computer as I have a gambling problem. I went into content advisor and selected gambling the problem is i didn't take any note of the password (as I didn't want to be tempted to gamble online again) now whenever i go into internet explorer it won't let me open google or any webpage and pops up with content advisor will not allow you to open this website and this page does not have a rating.

Can anybody help me with this, I am using google chrome at moment.

    Many thanks

) Click on Start and choose Run.

    2) Type in RegEdit and select OK.

    3) Now click on the little plus sign to the left of H_KEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.

    4) Continue to drill down, always clicking on the plus sign at the left of the named key, through Software, Microsoft, Windows, Current Version and Policies.

    5) Now click on the Ratings folder.

    6) In the right pane of the RegEdit window, you'll see an icon called Key. Click on it and press Delete.

    7) Next, choose Registry and then Exit to exit RegEdit. You've just deleted your original Content Advisor password.

    8) Restart the computer and run Internet Explorer again.

    9) Choose View and then Internet Options (or Options for version 3.x). For IE 5 or greater, Click on Tools, Internet Options.

    10) Click on the Content tab and click on Disable. When asked for a password, don't enter anything; just click on OK. This will disable Content Advisor because there's no longer a password.

If the IE Content Advisor doesnt work out, I've also used K9 to do similar things, for mums with kids who like porn sites mostly.. ;) What you could do is get somebody else to install it with a password that you yourself dont know..

One mother also uses it to let the kids use Facebook for one hour (as you can set the amount of time that particular sites are allowed for), that way she can be sure that they will not be using it all night long..
