    Hi,

Has anyone ever fitted a Sqish Dish in Dublin to view Freesat channels. Will it work well with Humax Freesat HD Box.

If so are they as good as standard sky dishes, with relation to signal reception and durability or are they better

    Any help would be appreciated

    Thx in Advance

    Best Rgds

    Hi Cush,

    Thx for your reply.

I would be interested in the SQISH quad dish

Too small. If it works the first hint of cloud, ice or mist the picture will pixelate and then if rain, it will be lost.

Will work in London. But even there a bit poorer than a Zone1 43cm dish.

Here we need 50cm to 65cm (65cm is Zone 2 Sky Dish) for most of Country with 80cm on some extreme edges in heavy rain.

The quoted gain for those things is very optimistic.

An efficiency of 60% is maybe generous
65cm Zone 1 Sky Dish about 35dB to 36dB, a really good dish might be 36.5dB
    40cm feed dish about 31dB
But the multi-horn/combiner has significant losses. It's likely 29dB really.
    80cm about 38dB
    110cm maybe 41dB

each 3dB is TWICE the signal.

A Zone 2 Sky dish has maybe 4x the signal of a SQISH panel.
