Sorry but your talking rubbish there ,

United got off on one tonight with the peno, but as I said earlier on in the thread you win some you loose some .

What . . Please do explain . . "Sorry but your talking rubbish there" simply suggests you didnt actually see that game . .

As you found out with the Tooth fairy and Santa , I hate to be the person to be putting you straight on your very shoddy memory of this game in question, but yes, its another one you can add to your "but I really wanted to believe it was so" life lessons. And this ones for free . . :D

It's quite simple really. Bitter lemons use it as some kind of "proof" that United aren't very good and are undeserving of their success, rather than just show a bit of spine and credibility and give a team credit for their success. It makes them look pathetic.

Tbh, it was a penalty, but as Steve McManaman said (no, not when he said it wasn't a penalty ;)) United could have scored 4. You never know what would have happened. They might have missed the penalty. It does happen you know!

Super super result. I thought it was going to be another Burnley again but instead it was almost like the Fulham result a few years ago when Ronnie snatched the winner.

Giggs and Hernandez made an unbelieveable difference. Hernandez alone has repaid his transfer fee tenfold already - gem of a player to have.

Worries - we looked shaky in defence at times, particularly from set pieces; Gibson not up to the pace of our game at all; hopefully Rafael's injury isn't too bad.

Aside from that perfect result for us - a kick up the arse without losing and should deflate our rivals. Love the ****e people are coming out with on here.. "mwaaah ye get referee decisions nobody does.. like.. like 4 years ago..".

    We're ****e and we're top the league!!

No stoke, west brom and blackpool were mentioned from this season, you could mention spurs and arsenal but i dont think it would have affected the game

Well done Utd. You obviously deserved it. Blackpool probably should of had a penalty but at the end of the day, the defending was criminal and if your defending a 2 goal lead, never mind one goal, you can't defend like that and allow such easy goals.

But their hate is not exclusive to United. Liverpool fans hate Everton too. Leeds fans hate Bradford. Chelsea fans hate Arsenal.

Some United fans don't accept it, plenty still go on about the Chelsea game, you'll see it in the run up to the Chelsea game in March.

Anyway every club has its retarded supporters, no club has a monopoly on that or are better or less biased. What club you support is irrelevant.

No more so then all the top teams - Chelsea, Arsenal, City, Liverpool , Barca, Madrid . .

What annoys united fans is that it seems to anger most "neutral" fans more when United get a decision.

The season that Rafa had his rant about United getting every decision etc, Liverpool played against 10 men more then any other team (played 4 or 5 of their games against the top 4 teams against 10 men). Liverpool also had more penalties given to them then any team that season, some of them very questionable (Stevie G you balerina mo fo), particularly on front of the Kop. I remember games v Hull and Wigan where Liverpool were dead and dodgy reds, offisde goals and penalties got them right back into the games . .

What was funny was that this didnt seem to annoy anybody as people just wanted to see United "knocked off their perch". . Its no differant now and will not change until the United success has stopped. People just love to make more out of incidents that go uniteds way and are not interested in objectively discussing what goes for and against United.

Id rather be the fan defending his team against Bitterness then the fan that only has their bitterness. Doesnt mean United fans should role over and take some of the complete and utter tosh thats constantly thrown at the team to try and undermine their success . .

Bigger teams nearly always get more decisions against smaller ones, its certainly not limited to United and I will argue we get no more then teams of similar stature.

I am a reasonable person when I am talking to reasonable people . . :D

I did see the game , got a a great view of it actually .

Best team won , sure with another 2 games to play against you hopefully you will collapse again, although maybe not if you drop Rooney and Giggs keeps pulling in brilliant performances.

Great result tonight from not a great performance, but thats something that Man U are specialists at , when not playing well still grinding out a result and for that reason they are in Pole position for a 19th championship, unfortunately deservedly so .

Had a horrible feeling in my gut that you would do it tonight and laid blackpool on Bet fair for a nice few quid , kinda softened the blow for me.

As for the tooth fairy :confused::confused: hard luck on that one.

Some mentioned games from ten years ago nearly in fairness.

We get some big calls, some big calls go against us. It's not like there's an exact science to how many decisions are meant to go the way of each team.

And to Eagle Eye, the point is, if you asked any of them "Who do you want to see win the Premiership this year?"

The ones who answer "Anyone But United", are the ABU's.

Nah, don't think so, he said he didn't know if was a French thing that Houllier had come out and publicly declared interest in Charlie Adam as the norm in England would be to say nothing until the player is bought and at the club. Obviously meant French football from the context.

Secondly – and I should make it clear that I don't support United, or any Premier League team for that matter – a truly unjust result. Nothing much was made of the early offside decision that denied Rooney an easy chance, but that and the penalty were two game-changing decisions that the referee (and his team) got wrong. He got most other decisions wrong too. I'm not sure about the free-kick that led to the goal – I was typing when it happened – but Fletcher did get the ball, and Martin Atkinson got everything else wrong, so I guess that's the way I'm leaning. United played really well, did 70% of the attacking, had the game's outstanding players in Fletcher, Carrick and Valencia and simply shouldn't have been beaten. (And Anelka won the man of the match award – another unjust decision!)

    So there you go. Ba
d luck United, but swings and roundabouts and all that, eh?

Appears to be true. Only thing is we don't get to see West Ham v Wigan and Stoke v Sunderland to see if there are biases in those games. Because the focus is on the top of the table, every decision seems to be analysed to the nth degree.

Liverpool were serious contenders that season ,its no coincidence that it was the same season that they couldnt of gotten more questionable decisions their way if they tried . .

I love when United hammer a team like they did on Saturday but every once in a while, there's no harm in a win that contained a controversial decision. I can't help also loving when this happens because when it does people like thanx for the fish get all stressed out with their moaning and all I have to do is show them my Fr. Dick Byrne impression

Blackpool should have had a penalty tonight. The ref was shíte and I think favoured United in a few decisions. But United fully deserve to be at the top of the table, as they always do. They are clinical and fearless and they make their own luck.

Anybody who wants to claim that referees favouring United earns them x amount of points a year needs to back it up with a serious bit of analysis. Talking about a few dodgy decisions which go for the team without also counting up all the dodgy decisions which go against them, and how the dodgy decisions work out for their title rivals, is not a properly formed argument. It's just so much hot air blown out of haters' asses.

The truth is the resolve, the skill and the clinical finishing which made the United come back tonight was very very impressive. It was typical United and it's been like that for years. All other teams in the league should be frightened of this side. All the haters should prepare themselves for plenty more hurt still to come.

    It really is.

I'm 29. All I've every known are United sides managed by Fergie. And I have never really lacked faith that we can overcome any particular deficit in a match. As long as we are playing anyway normally, as the clock ticks on towards full time and we are some annoying number of goals down I always have that feeling - if we get some sort of chance, or some sort of break, the team can take advantage of it. It's easy to believe it because I've seen it happen again and again and again.

firstly, this isn't a Liverpool thread in any way, so my team has nothing to do with this thread.

    secondly, i fúcking hate Utd.

    you have no idea.

i've put up with this for the last 18 years of my life.

    they know i despise them.

but i'm not going to spend my time bemoaning shít decisions.

    it's a waste of time.

and you pretend other teams don't get any luck.

if this was a Utd v Liverpool thread (don't you dare create one), then i'd maybe tolerate it, entertain it, and take part in it. but it's not.

take it from someone whose put up with them for the last 2 decades. just let it go. their time will come once Fergie goes ;)

there comes a time when you just have to admire them, it came for me a few years ago. i gave up bítching about them because it wasn't worth my time or energy. it is what it is.

i tell other Liverpool fans the same thing. it's not about impressing any Utd fans. i couldn't give 2 shítes.

it's about remaining a bit dignified for me to be honest.

He said in an interview with the Guardian that he isn't as "introverted" as his brother and that's why he wasn't married yet!
