New to the city and no idea where to go to get a minor hole repaired! Needless to say I can't sew and no family close by.
    Any suggestions?

Sewing something small like mending a hole in clothes is easy, sounds hard if you have never tried, but its not. Most people cant sew until they try 1st time.

Go to euro store or supermarket buy sewing kit. Take needle put thread in it, tie knot in end, do your mending.

Also look on u tube how to sew.
