Anyone use one of these guys recently and if so how did they find them. Really looking for someone/company who will come out and do a proper survey and give a written report at the end of it. Is there any certifacation for this this sort of work if so what am I looking for.
ITs an apt which has mould problems on the internal plaster of the outer walls from the skirting board upto approx a mtr high and over some of the window heads. Most likely down to being over crowd'd and lack of ventilation coupled with the cold weather. But need to get a written report done up.

    Thanks

If you see a little tide mark then it is damp. Otherwise it sounds like condensation. Warm air which is laden with moisture condenses on the cold wall producing the right circumstances for mold growth. Any of the damp companies listed in the phone book/net will do a survey and give a written report - for which there is a charge.

Any AT should be able to give you a credible report.

    YEEESSS

I looked at a house last month and glazed plastering was the cause of their problems but I only get paid from the neck down so a report from me would be worthless. I suggest you ask your AT could glazed plastering be part of your problems.
