Two struggling teams fighting for the honour of getting to Wembley and losing to Arsenal.

Birmingham: Foster, Carr, Johnson, Jiranek, Ridgewell, Larsson, Ferguson, Bowyer, Gardner, Derbyshire, Jerome. Subs: Taylor, Murphy, Phillips, Fahey, Zigic, Hleb, Beausejour.
West Ham: Green, Faubert, Tomkins, Upson, Bridge, Noble, Parker, Spector, Hines, Cole, Boa Morte. Subs: Boffin, Reid, Gabbidon, Dyer, McCarthy, Sears, O'Neil.

West Ham are favourites and should be able to get through but I am praying for a Birmingham win.

Plus it looks like the future of Sky punditry is getting a try out with Stelling and Merson auditioning.

    COME ON YOU IRONS!

Be interesting to see how Jiranek gets on, lack of pace and width in midfield probably to combat West Ham's 5 in midfield. Come on you Blues. KRO

West Ham looking the more likely, Birmingham offering nothing in attack. Sitting back and letting West Ham attack.

You can tell this is McLeish's last match, players not motivated at all. All the wrong players picked as well. Shocking stuff.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,017 ✭✭✭invinciblePRSTV

McLeish on his way out is he? s'pose with Peter Pan moaning about his signings you can't blame him.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,463 ✭✭✭Kiwi_knock

Plus the fans are turning against him, the football he plays is very negative and unattractive to watch so less and less people going to the matches. Do not think we have once sold out a game with him in charge which is quite shocking. Does good work with the players and is respected by them but has not really advanced them as a group so it has been a disappointment this year. Would rather see him leave at the end of the season but looks like the Board will not stick with him too much longer due to the financial meltdown we face if we get relegated.

Zigic's last chance to save his Blues career.

Supposedly big trouble at the ground today. A lot of old ICF heads made the trip up unfortunately.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,463 ✭✭✭Kiwi_knock

So close, keep it up Blues and we might pull this back.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 11,445 Mod ✭✭✭✭Hammer Archer

    Sitting back :(
We better fcuking hold onto this.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,463 ✭✭✭Kiwi_knock

Ah go on Bowyer, great strike. Push on from here, and look for another. Zigic definitely making a difference

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 11,445 Mod ✭✭✭✭Hammer Archer

Brum have momentum now. We will loose.

Away goals count after extra-time. An equaliser would be massive!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,015 ✭✭✭Ludo

Typical WHU...never expected anything less from them to be honest. I didnt bother getting my hopes up. I wasn't even getting nervous about it as I knew what was coming.
7 mins left to throw it away completely...

There was a good bit of trouble outside the ground so they expect trouble inside plus they expect a pitch invasion regardless of the result.

Wasn't Obinna sent off in the first lkeg for kicking out like that? Or am I thinking of a different match?

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 11,445 Mod ✭✭✭✭Hammer Archer

Jesus we are steeped. Should be out.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,630 ✭✭✭steelcityblues

An all London final would be more interesting, so c'mon West Ham.

Birmingham seem to have a higher probem of hooliganism than the average club.

Why are we taking off Gardner, surely it should be Bowyer, he has tired while Gardner looks like he has tons of energy

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,017 ✭✭✭invinciblePRSTV

    Ooof close by Dyer

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,015 ✭✭✭Ludo

Come on lads...one goal and we're thru...

Oh...as long as we don't let 2 in of course which could be a problem.

    Edit...Benni on...we're screwed.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 11,445 Mod ✭✭✭✭Hammer Archer

Screw this I can't take it anymore. Suppose I'll figure out how it went tomorrow. No matter what, I'm hoping Grant and his stupid scarf are gone tomorrow morning.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,463 ✭✭✭Kiwi_knock

The nerves are so bad at this stage, can not sit still.

Why would a managerial change be guaranteed to help at this stage of the season?
