Xperia X10 internet connection

I'm trying to connect to the web on the OH's phone using Wifi. However, under 'Wifi' it's constantly showing up 'Scanning' I've set up the wireless network (which the router is not set to broadcast) info and WPA key on the phone. When I click on Browser on the settings screen it's connecting via VF360. Any help? Thanks.

It seems this is an issue with the X10's
They cannot connect to hidden SSID
Even if you enable it and it connects, then hide it again, it will still not connect
