Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Have a strange prob

    My version of google chrome thinks it's in the UK
    If I do a search it defaults to .co.uk despite me setting google.ie as my default provider, if i type a query in the search/address bar it allways comes up as uk, I've looked "under the hood" and I can't see any real local settings but no joy,

    Would really appreciate any thoughts

    Do you have this problem with other browsers? Do you have any proxy set?

    You select the "default search" options and ensure that you have selected google.ie - for me (mac) its in the "basics" in the preferences section.

    I had this problem where it thought I was in Italy and kept using google.it for the searches - despite any changes I made via the Options dialog. I eventually sorted it out by manually editing one of the files that Chrome uses. This was on Windows XP, so it might be in a different location in Vista or Win7. The file is "Local State" and for me it was located in:

    C:\Documents and Settings\<my user name>\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\User Data

    Under the "browser" section there were two lines that had references to google.it, which I changed to google.ie:

    "last_known_google_url": "http://www.google.ie/",
    "last_prompted_google_url": "http://www.google.ie/",

    You may find that these lines are set to google.co.uk for you.

    Note that I made sure Chrome was closed down fully before making this change and saving the file.

    Hope this helps!
