Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

One to One Video setup

I have been asked by my company about the possibility of setting up a video sales booth for a customer to have a video conference with one of our agents and get a quote from a remote retail outlet. The agent would be onsite in our call centre in a private room and only taking video and/or web chats. I am looking for a solution that I might be able to set up myself without the need for expensive over customized apps. I am thinking of possibly using Skype but how secure can I make this. Are there better solutions out there? Are there any softphone apps out there that can do this?

I am thinking of using an off network PC running windows XP/7 and would like to customize it so that nothing is available only the video call button/option. Is tehre anyway of even integrating it into our website? Has anyone any experience in doing this? Is it even possible?

    Thanks in advance. :)

You could use a couple of soft phones with video support, not too expensive, connected over an encrypted VPN, OpenVpn is free, using a software pbx, 3CX is free for a limited number of users.
