    5. Speedy(Mia Dearden)
    6. Green Arrow
    7. Diamondback
    8. Rorschach

    11. Batgirl(Stephanie Brown)
    12. Black Mask
    13. Cheshire
    14. Jonah Hex
    15. Punisher(Max)
    16. Catman
    17. Marv
    18. Two-Gun Kid
    19. Burt Gummer
    20. Bullseye
    21. Ronin(Clint Barton)
    22. Spider Jerusalem
    23. Christopher Chance(Human Target)
    24. Rick Deckard(read the book, he's human)
    25. John McClane
    26. Tulip O'Hare
    27. Judge Dredd
    28. John Rambo

Can you lay down some criteria?

Basically they has to be purely human. No fancy armor getups, or magic rings. I'm looking for people who rely on physical and mental skills available to a normal, real world human being. Cyborgs are out as well. I don't care where you find them though. Movies, cartoons, anime are all acceptable mediums.

So if they have magical/hi-tech weapons that's ok?

I would judge them on a case by case basis there. Han Solo with his blaster, yes. Han with the Millenium Falcon, no. Luke Skywalker, not happening.

I demand Jayne Cobb the hero of Canton.

... with Vera, he can't lose!

Roland Deschain (Dark Tower series) with his guns of course
Teela Brown (from the Ringworld books) - extremely lucky

i'll think of some more, i'm sure.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,967 ✭✭✭mrmac

    Sam Fisher - Splinter Cell
    Alice - Resident Evil

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,967 ✭✭✭mrmac

    Princess Leiya??

    Elektra
The Bride - aka Uma Thurman - Kill Bill
    Sláine - 2000AD comic

  • Moderators, Science, Health & Environment Moderators, Social & Fun Moderators Posts: 47,820 Mod ✭✭✭✭cyberwolf77

Roland and Sam qualify. Alice and Teela however are questionable. Teela has a demonstrated psionic ability and Alice is more than likely metahuman.

    Jedi, so no.
    Elektra
    Known psionic abilities apparently
The Bride - aka Uma Thurman - Kill Bill
    Oh, hell yeah!
    Sláine - 2000AD comic
    Warp spasm power disqualifies him.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,967 ✭✭✭mrmac

    John Connor - Terminator.

    No Slaine!
/damn, knows way too much about 2000AD!

    edit: Ripley - Alien movies.

  • Moderators, Science, Health & Environment Moderators, Social & Fun Moderators Posts: 47,820 Mod ✭✭✭✭cyberwolf77

I like John for this one as his mother was in the Humanitas tournament.
I will also allow Ripley provide it is understood she will be taken from a time before she acquired Xenomorph traits.(Pre-Resurection)

I can't believe no one has yet to mention James Tiberius Kirk?

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,967 ✭✭✭mrmac

John McClaine (sp) - Die Hard.
    Dutch - aka Arnold Schwart-dude - Predator.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,967 ✭✭✭mrmac

Just having a coffee, and a few more have sprung to mind!

    Rocky Balboa
    Indiana Jones
    Zoro
Maximus Dec 'da' mus Meridius (sp) - Gladiator
King Leonidas - bad ass Spartan!

Speaking of bad ass Spartans, what about Master Chief John-117?

Going to start the supper, and think of some more "role-models".

    Thought of some more!

    Gordon Freeman - Half-life.
    Aragorn - LOTR.
Altar or Altair (sp?) - Assassins Creed.
Rikimaru & (sigh) Aiyame (sp?) - Tenchu stealth assassins.
Bad A$$ slice & dicer from Ninja Gaiden, just can't think of his name???
    Daniel Craig - 007
    Mr. Blonde - Reservoir Dogs
    Hannibal Lecter - Mr. "Chianti".
    Corleone - Godfather.
    Lex Luthor - Superman
Harry Mason - Original Silent Hill game (fan-freaky-tastic!)

    That's it for now.
Trying to think of more butt kicking ladies!

    edit: what about F.D. Roosevelt?
Responsible for 100K deaths at Horoshima!
Or Adolf Hitler, sent millions to their death.

  • Moderators Posts: 51,805 ✭✭✭✭Delirium

    Shang Chi.

    1996_4_15.jpg

Totally human, has had battles with Thing from Fantastic Four as well as Spiderman. He'd easily be one of the best human fighters in the marvel universe.

EDIT: also Nomad from captain America comics, was thinking of the Edward Ferbel version.

If you can read this, you're too close!

master chief is kinda out of it. he's a bit cybernetic and has had physical augments as well.

Ryu Hayubusa is the one you're thinking of from ninja gaiden.

    Lara Croft? she's got great...eh...guns ;)

Buffy is demon-powered, and Cap started a bit too much trouble during the last humans only tournament

I have no idea what this Tournament or thread is about. How about an explanation of the rules for the bewildered?

    Scott Pilgrim.
    Ryu Hayabusa (sp?)
Rachel from the same series (though i think she has a blood curse giving her a bit of extra strength)

  • Moderators, Science, Health & Environment Moderators, Social & Fun Moderators Posts: 47,820 Mod ✭✭✭✭cyberwolf77

Hey if Scott Pilgrim can face down the league of Evil Exes he should fit in well here
