Any ideas for Heineken cup weekend?

Think Ulster -2, Toulouse -26, Leinster -8 and Harlequins -9 will beat the Handicap.

    12.2/1

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,071 ✭✭✭✭wp_rathead

Toulouse -12 @ HT is looking good- home side have great XV starting and Connacht always start slowly. The -26 Handicap should be reached by Toulouse but I'd like to think that Connacht will be able offer bit of a revival in 2nd half

Ulster -2 tonight is another great looking bet. I managed to get them at a scratch (-0/+0) on Tuesday night, but -2 should be beaten by an inform ulster vs a weakened Leicester team.. I'm all over this bet tonight:pac:

Glasgow are strong at home and in good form- so won't be walk in park for Leinster although they should still win. Harlequins -9 I wouldn't personally go for either, I just think that Gloucester have a good performance in them, like they had in Toulouse. Prefer Saracens -7 vs Biarritz- as Biarritz been woeful this season
    good luck

Had some success in large enough sized accums in first rounds of events. Will be doing one for the masters tomorrow and the australian open on monday.

The masters will be a tough one though as they are all quality players.

    Ding Junhui @ 2.37
    Mark Williams @ 1.53
    John Higgins @ 1.44
    Shaun Murphy @ 1.44
    Judd Trump @ 1.50

    3 euro returns 47.

Ding v Ronnie, all depends on ronnie, if he turns up he can easily win. Ding is more consistent though.

The other one which is 50/50 is MArk Williams v Stepen Maguire, Maguire is a quality player.

The first 8 have won! Cmon!

The highest odds left of the 6 is @1.40.

The only worries is that 1.40.

I expect the rest to win.

I knew Mahut would win!!!! **** ya Stepanek!.

    The rest won.

Lucky enough I made a small profit from a smaller accum I did. Still that should have been easy money!

Gloucester +5 - Toulouse only beat G by 4 in Toulouse
Munster +5 - probably going to stay away from this as Northampton are at home the munster have already qualified.
Ulster +12 - terrific performance last week, CM too performed quite well. Handicap just a little too large?
Connaught +9 - Last H'cup game for C I reckon they'll want to go out with a bang. Harlequins are underperforming slightly atm

Any thoughts on this? Enjoyed your reasoning last week

Connacht plus +9 and Toulouse to win at 4/9 be good
Stats show that Gloucester +5 should be good bet- but ya never know with Toulouse. And only reason I'm going to not bet on Connacht is cause I'm going into the game and my heart will be racing enough without having money on it:D

Ulster I dunno- Clermont are BEAST at home but -12 is a rather large handicap to beat against an Ulster team that may only have to lose by 7 or less to qualify.. worth a lil punt if ya have money to risk
and you are wise to stay away from Munster game- to tough to call, Northampton should have won in Thomond and will be out for revenge, but they are out so motivation may be factor- really don't know so I'm leaving it;)
    g'luck

    Posted this elsewhere:
Taking on Toulouse -5 myself..they need to win to be sure of qualifying, Goucester have nothing to play for. When Toulouse really need to pull a result out of the bag, they will...their strength in depth can be judged from the fact that Vincent Clerc is only on the bench. I think Ulster will go all out and could be as close as bp territory even, so might take on the 12pt mark on PP. Connacht are +9 on PP, I think they're going to make a huge effort in their last Heineken game for a while at home..Quins were shaky enough in the Gloucester game last week and although I expect them to scrape it, I think that Connacht are worth a gamble here @10/11 as part of a treble or mongrel yankee.

    cycling bet:

My two big bets involve Sam Sanchez
10pts to beat Frank Schleck 4/7 VC Bet

Right first i fancy him beat kloden, kloden looks out shape and it is a decent sized bet at 4pts, but iv taken out the account and lashed it on the 4/7 to beat frank schleck, frank looked out shorts in crit and it would take huge improvement to beat sam on home roads, this is a rider good enough to get time gap in the volta last week, something on one on other stages managed will take time in the tt too.

4pts to beat kloden 7/10 VC Bet

Anyone have any thoughts on Lewis Hamilton for today? Qualified in 1st, a good 0.5 seconds clear of 2nd (Maldonado) and the Red Bull's don't seem to be on the pace.

Hamilton has now been demoted to start at the back of the grid, but surely will be able to cut through the field if that is the pace he is on. You can get him at roughly 27/1 each-way on Betfair, surely there is value in that?

Or do people think that his low fuel load in qualifying was the reason for the fast lap?

Question here if any one can give me the answer. In snooker betting, backing on the handicap ok,best of 9 frames,-2.5 frames 5-3 is a loser? 5-2 is a winner? Is this right?

Berdych is 15/8 against Murray.... He leads their H2H 4-2 and he was awesome against Fed.... If Murray starts slowly might even be an opportunity to trade out.... Think it's a great bet
