Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    I work in HMV today some man called as asked did we have any james bond video tapes for sale, i said no we have not sold videos for about 5 years, he then asked did i know anywhere that would have them for sale.

    I have the full bond collection on VHS (up as far as the world is not enough). I always thought they'd be worth a bit of cash as a collectors item in a few years.

    How are you storing them? VHS degrades over time.

    Also are they first release (early 80's etc) or just reissues?

    They're in their cases, in a plastic box in the attic, would that be ok? They're a re-issue. It was the time they released some sort of collectors edition (Just after Goldeneye AFAIR). The sleeves when stacked side by side make a sort of collage image. I collected them one by one with money I scraped together as a kid.

    Whilst I understand a store not bothering with vhs anymore TBH I'm happy enough to hear there is people still seeking/using them. I'm pretty much bluray / solidstate only these days myself these days but I'd hate to think of every video tape in the world just being chucked into a landfill.

    I doubt it. Something like James Bond would have sold tonnes of copies, and even if 95% of people threw theirs away, there'd still be enough lying around that it'll never be rare or valueable.
