College Placements

Hi all, I have a relation who is due to start their college placement soon, but hasn't got a job sorted yet, Do the college find placements for students or is it up to the student themselves? Also has anyone been left without any placement at all? Thanks!

From my own experience, a lot of our class did not get placements. This was due to the downturn in the economy, companies just didn't offer the places the last few years. Out of the class of 14, 4 of us got placement; 1 of them even lost his when the company he was with closed.
If your relation can source his own, go for it. That's how I got mine. College used to place everyone but just can't now.
There was a CCNA course put on for the students who didn't get placement.
