Having this 4-3-3 is doing us no good whatsoever going forward and leaves us without width when we are defending, take Obertan off bring on Nani and make it 4-4-2 fergie for gods sake

I can't see Owen remaining at the club next season. A complete shadow of the player he once was.

Make sure they don't get fined for fielding a weakened team. :pac:

God this team just is not united! Absolute shambles, especially in defence!

He's playing better than most of the team tbh.

Great game, a bit of a soft spot for Soton, they are playing nice tidy football.

Take off Owen and Gibson. Bring on Berbatov and Nani, switch to 442 and if Obertan doesn't start doing something bring Giggs on.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 46,469 ✭✭✭✭Mitch Connor

Yet again, Fergie has to take the balme for this **** at half time.

Just like the blackpool game during the week, the formation and tactics are all ****ing wrong, Fergie has called it wrong again.

No natural width from midfield on either side of the pitch. basically playing with 4 central midfielders, all too narrow.

Obertan and Chico getting nothing from the game or the midfield. All just wrong.

I'd be looking to take Gibson off for Nani.

Move Obertan and Nani too the wings, Owen and Chico up top, Scholes and Anderson in the middle.

Come on Fergie, sort this crap out and learn the limitations of your squad - stop trying to force this no width formation on the side. IT DOES NOT WORK.

its half time,if we've all learned anything recently its that THERES ANOTHER 45 MINS to play yet.

quite simply fergie has got it badly wrong. We are desperate for width

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,466 ✭✭✭tim_holsters

That's not a weakened United team, just a changed one.

    Don't talk rot, it's a weakened team.

well judging by the tactics employed in the first half, Fergie hasn't learnt anything.

Relax, I think that was said tongue in cheek mate :)

Evans was shocking for that goal. Watching this in Manchester airport and the barman won't turn on the commentary so some generic pop music blaring out.

Gibson is awful. Looks good on the ball and has a good shot but he never influences himself on the game. Hes a bit like Carrick:rolleyes:

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 54,684 ✭✭✭✭Headshot

Im not shocked tbh, once I saw the start lineup and formation I knew this was going to be trouble. The likes of gibson and obertan arent utd players but they are still at utd which is just taking the piss

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,824 ✭✭✭ShooterSF

Irrelevant anywho regarding the question asked.

same problems we had in the first half at Blackpool. Same problems we had at West Ham in the league cup game. How about you read some freaking context into a post before hopping on to your high horse.

Some finish out of Chaplow. Poor defensive header though.

Carrick can at least pass the ball more than 10 yards without losing it.

bring nani on and go 442.its been a bit of a shambles so far.
