There's something being left out of that story, there is no way a healthy* young adult who is aware of their surroundings would die of hypothermia in one day.

*from article: She had “no other system disorder”, according to her doctor.

As Cookie Monster pointed out there is no way a healthy 30 year old adult would die overnight due to living in an unheated flat, if that did occur we'd wake up to find a huge amount of Dublin's homeless dead tomorrow.

There is certainly something else to this story which hasn't been pointed out.

It's also the councils fault that she didn't bother to buy herself a portable blow air heater, electric blankets or somesuch.

This isn't after hours - can we leave out the sarcasm and the smart remarks- a woman is dead and whether DCC is to blame or not- it didn't help by turning the heating off while the block was still occupied.
