Soooo as promised here's some dodgy seph art, Yer all aware of my love for manga :-D So at the moment I'm trying to perfect the art of drawing eyes, Not happy with the shading but its the best I could do

Im going for the record of most paintings in 1 year at the moment. Have to beat a record of 40 paintings that I set in 1995 (my 1st year at it). Heres no. 32 just completed. 9 weeks left - it will be a close one.

The Paladin of Naretia

Lost to the bloodlust that often takes over the ogre’s feeble minds, making them the most feared soldiers in Naretia, she knew it wouldn’t be long before the remaining Norsemen in the town found their weapons and ended their lives. Four ogres in a deep frenzy they could handle, but they wouldn’t do it with an army of them nearby. If she remained at the tavern, it wouldn’t be long before the rest of her militia succumbed to the bloodlust and devoured the entire town, like they had done over two hundred years ago. She had to lead them away. After all, it was the least she could do for her subjects… even if they didn’t appreciate it.

Drew it on photoshop, probably only really took an hour, maybe two. Used a drawing tablet. I'm pretty comfortable with all of the basics, doesn't take long to get competent, but can be tedius when trying more advanced stuff.

A poem I wrote that I posted over in CW a while back but is good for this forum:

Move another bead along the abacus,
Pour some drinks to celebrate.
Another year crossed off,
We’ll do it again soon enough.
Many miles jotted down,
Many more to come.

The mind is fresh but old,
The body stale but young.
Achievements noted down,
No idea of the next ones.
What comes, always goes,
With time, the memories, too.

To go slow or speed ahead?
The road is dark, the car can’t reverse.
The lights can’t always be trusted,
The engine may stall.
There were breakdowns and pit stops,
Refills and jump starts.
But always it moves forward.

Numbers are all they are,
One, two, three if we’re lucky.
The number always grows,
As does the number’s owner.
Every extra number is a multiple of experience,
It can’t be subtracted or divided.

The sand continues to slip away,
But the hourglass can’t be reset.
Perhaps therein lies the drive,
To keep going, to push ahead,
Regardless.
‘Cause when the sand is gone,
Time is up and the hourglass can’t be reset.

(Don't know why I'm writing stuff like this I'm only 26 and I wrote that a few years ago)
