Anyone got any advise on putting up a punch bag bracket on red bricks ?

The bag weighs close to 30kgs, the bracket is 5kgs comes with 4 M10 x 60 bolts and plugs

Will the bricks take that pressure from the bag getting kicked and punched

Where to position the hole in each brick

    Any other tips !

to be honest when putting mine up near 5 years ago in the garage I never considered where the holes were being drilled and its held fine. I used 3 60mm screws though for handiness.

you could hand a donkey on 4 M10 bolts. a 30 kg punch bag will be fine.

Avoid the brick joints when drilling

Should I upgrade the rawl plugs or will the bog standard grey ones that come with it do the job ?

Raw bolts are far stronger. They have a mechanical device on the shank that locks into the brick work. Once they are in , even if you want them out, they usually put up a hell of a fight to remove. Most of the time they dont come out.

B&Q or any hardware shop sell them.

I would use them over the plastic plugs. Just dont over torque them
