Xbox 360 wont play games/dvd

Message keeps coming up on screen when I put in disk "open tray",it will not let me play game. Plays music off HD ok. What up. Any help............................... THANK YOU

Its a resend back to Microsoft, the laser isn't working. Its a very common fault.First try the troubleshooting things first here

Thanks just got sorted you tube fix after some searching. Had to go into system console and reset to disable auto play and it worked. HAPPY Kids NOW.
