Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi, can anyone help me out with this - when I turned on my pc today I had an icon for Smart internet Protection 2011, I have no idea what it is or how it got there. It keeps alerting me to various viruses that I supposedly have, I scanned with the avast anti virus program that I have & nothing came up. How do I get rid of this thing?

Download Malwarebytes anti malware and do a scan.

If that doesn't fix it, you may have to do some more work.

If you didn't knowingly install it I'd try and remove it. Maybe its scareware ? There are plenty off reputable free AV/anti-spyware progs around, try a few. Maybe keep away from entering banking details etc until you know ....

You may have to boot into safe mode to run malwarebytes as some fake anti-viruses will prevent your own from running/updating.

Out of interest just check if you can go to norton.com or symantec.com etc.

just fixed this one yesterday, just boot normally, open task manager and you'll find a process named SIP_(somethingsomething).exe, right click and select open process location, then kill the process and delete the files in the folder that opened. then go ahead and remove any shortcuts from desktop/start menu.
