Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Have you tried the sky+ system from sky. Records on to a harddrive not DVD.
I use this and transfer stuff that I want to keep on to a DVD on my own time.

I dont know if i can get dvd disc's to record 4hrs of play doe.

I had a dvd recorder which recorded to disk but the laser collapsed after a year. The disks were limited to 2 hrs at std quality and 1 hour at higher quality.

Rather than buy another one, I bought a satellite receiver which records to an external 500GB hard drive via USB.

DVDs will record on long play for 4 hours. You could set it to record from your Sky+ to DVD when your going to bed.

If you wanna watch a channel on your Sky while recording another channel you'll need Sky+ no two ways about it. To do this you need to have two inputs going in to the box.

Since Sky are crap they don't give you a USB connection to easily transfer your recorded files/progs and they're heavily encrypted I think.

You should get 4hrs on a DVDr but the rule is 1hr highest quality, 2hr standard quality and then it varies after that but you can squeeze in up to 6hrs I think.
