Hey so im looking for some sort of attachment that I can use to attach a horizontal pole to a vertical one, im trying to make my self a bycycle workstand.

Something like this http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=47961 would be ideal, but longer, this is only a short handlebar stem for a bike. Anyone got any ideas? The vertical pole is anbout 32mm in diameter

the only thing that springs to mind is a shelly clamp. they allow you to clamp two poles either parralel or perpendicular to each other. ive used them for antennas and they are very strong.google shelly clamp or double shelly calmp. good satellite shops will keep them but if ye think they will do the job gimme a pm and ill recomend a few places that might have em.

    Two linked Jubilee clips.

Shellie clamp looks ideal. The two jubilee clips would probably not be strong enough to hold up the added weight of the bike on the rack.

PM coming your way indie armada!:)

They work fine holding a 60ft polytunnel together ;) and a lot of DIYers could lay their hands on a couple of Jubilee clips to try even if it didn't turn out to be the solution.

Get two exhaust U clamps of the correct size in an auto factors.

You'll be able to arrange/link them in such a way to brace the two bars at 90 degrees to each other.

Drill & bolt the two poles together would be simpler and cheaper. However neither joints would prevent the poles pivoting without a diagonal brace.
