Monstrous Murderous Tyrannosaur

A brand new type of tyrannosaur called Teratophoneus curriei has been found in Utah. The name Teratophoneus roughly translated means 'monstrous murderer' (quite the scary name!) while curriei is in honor of Phil Currie, one of the world's leading experts in large theropod dinosaurs, particularly tyrannosaurs.
The specimen would have been about 5 meters in length when alive. However, it was not fully grown so could have grown a bit larger.
Tantalizingly, another type of tyrannosaur has been unearthed recently in Utah. It is said to be older (and more unusual) than Teratophoneus. Unfortunately, this enigmatic second tyrannosaur find has yet to be published so details (including it's proper scientific name) about it are not currently common knowledge, but rest assured once it becomes available you will be able to read about it here!

    More on Teratophoneus here.

exellent, I would be quite interested to read more about it when publihsed, wonder if they eyes were facing forward like T-rex or to the side like Tarbosaurus
