Starting this one nice and early since we have nothing else to talk about and the cup game really made a mess of the superthread. Nasri may have been rested for this game, but losing him to a hamstring injury is a big blow nonetheless! Our record against Everton is fairly good, but I can't imagine this being straightforward.

Is this on television?

Woj
Sagna---Koscielny---Djourou---Clichy
Wilshere--Song--Fabregas----
Walcott
RVP
Arshavin

Sagna should be ok having recovered from his concussion. It's a toss up for me between Bendtner and Shava but I reckon the Russian will get the nod in the hope of selection giving him a bit of confidence, if he does start I fancy him to score tonight.

Id agree with the team except for Arsh/Bendtner. Id be inclined to try Rosicky out there or even RVP, with Chamakh in the middle. Just dont rate Bendtner at all and Arshavin's form is woeful. Id certainly be giving the gloves to Woj, some man for the 1 on 1's...

For me at the moment Rosicky > Arshavin.

There was one lovely turn and through ball by Rosicky to Arshavin against Huddersfield which is shows what he is all about.

I reckon he is worth a start. I always like seeing the trio of Cesc, RvP and Rosicky together.

I have a feeling Almunia will start for Arsenal. I don't especially want him to.

I fancy Everton to get something tonight. Have performed well against so called bigger sides this year and it should continue here.

5 wins in a row til now, 5 more starting tonight are the important ones!

I don't know how you can say that; did you see his goal against Ipswich? As 3rd Strikers go only United [Hernandez] and now Chelsea [Anelka] have better ones imo.

Tough one to call, its one game i'll never bet on, have seen us beat everton when not expected to and vice versa.

Haha, yes you are! Once you've used it a few times, you'll know which ones to look out for. It might be hard to get a decent one tonight though!

It's an opinion formed over time. Form is temporary, class is permanent and all of that. He is a handy bench warmer, but the guy misses so many chances. yes the goal against Ipswich was a cracker and yes he has put in some tasty crosses of late, but I am far from convinced. I think what rubs me up the wrong way about Bendtner is his attitude. But enough about him, I can see a tough game tonight decided by the odd goal 2-1 or 3-2 to us.

City surely? Mario probably considered third striker there.

says here they expect Szczesney to return which is good news.

http://www.givemefootball.com/premier-league/arsenal-vs-everton-big-match-preview-%281%29

Arsenal will be without centre-half Sebastien Squillaci (suspension) and midfielder Samir Nasri (hamstring) for Tuesday night's Barclays Premier League clash against Everton at Emirates Stadium.
Midfielder Denilson (hamstring) and goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski (shoulder) are also not expected to feature, but full-back Bacary Sagna (head) should return to the side, along with Robin van Persie, Theo Walcott, Jack Wilshere, Johan Djourou, Gael Clichy and goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny, who did not play in Sunday's 2-1 FA Cup fourth round win over Huddersfield.
Thomas Vermaelen (Achilles) is still some weeks away from a possible return.
Nicklas Bendtner admits Arsenal are now facing a month of games which could make or break their season.
The Gunners are aiming to keep within striking distance of leaders Manchester United, currently five points ahead.
Bendtner knows with another packed fixture schedule ahead, there is little room for error.
"This next month is a bit of a decider," said the Denmark forward, whose deflected goal put Arsenal ahead against the Terriers, only for them to later need a late Cesc Fabregas penalty to see off the challenge of the npower League One side.
"Two cups will be decided and there are matches which will have a massive influence on the Premier League as well.
"February is a big month for us and at the end of it we will see where we are at. Hopefully it will all look fantastic."
First and foremost, though, Arsenal's battle-weary squad must recover quickly to take on an Everton side who have proved hard to beat away from home this season.
"It is always difficult to play again so quickly. We have played a lot of games, but we are sportsmen and this is what we have to do," Bendtner said.
"We have to be up for the challenge and be ready."
Bendtner, though, maintains Arsenal have developed a new-found resolve this season.
"People have said before that if we were not at our best games would end in draws," the 23-year-old continued.
"This season we have turned those question marks into victories, and that is what is making us stronger game by game."
Wenger feels Nasri's absence will be a "big blow".
Bendtner has challenged the rest of the squad to fill the void.

<a href="http://givemefootball.advertserve.com/servlet/click/zone?zid=56&pid=0&lookup=true&position=1" target="_top"> zone?zid=56&pid=0&position=1"Samir has been very important and scored some great goals. He can win games by himself, so obviously we will miss him - but someone else will have to step up and take his place," the striker said.
Everton manager David Moyes will check on the fitness of defender Tony Hibbert and striker Victor Anichebe.
Hibbert became ill following the FA Cup draw with Chelsea on Saturday while Anichebe missed the fourth-round tie with a groin problem.
Tim Cahill was due to return to England on Monday after appearing in the Asian Cup for Australia and Moyes says he plans to give the midfielder a few days off.
Moyes believes Louis Saha can help push his side up the table now the French striker has rediscovered his scoring touch.
Saha, 32, made it three goals in four appearances when he netted the opener against Chelsea.
Moyes wants the Frenchman to kick on ahead of the clash with the Gunners.
He said: "Goals change centre-forwards. If they get some goals it makes them look better and everything they do feels much better.
"Louis scored a lot of goals at the start of last season. Let's hope he can score a lot of goals in the second half of this campaign.
"He is playing with a lot more confidence and belief, which goals give you as a centre-forward. I would like to think he can keep it going."
Everton have lost only one of their last 10 games in all competitions and become draw specialists.
Moyes would accept another point in Arsenal's backyard.
He said: "We always want to take three points but if we added another draw I do not think it would be a terrible result. It is always a hard game.
"Arsenal have good sides every year. It is not in question the players and the quality they've got there. They do a good job. They are trying to compete at the top end of the league which is very difficult.
"We have drawn some games we should have won and drawn some where we have been a bit fortunate.
"Getting wins is really important as we have not really had enough of them."
Moyes has taken heart from the performance against Chelsea.
"It was a really good display even though we did not see it through and we need a replay," he said.
"My players did well and in recent games we have looked more liable to score which is pleasing.

I expect it to be close but Arsenal to win in the end. I hope Bendtner gets the nod over Arshavin. Hes been playing well and deserves a chance with the first team.

Maybe:

---Walcott
Bendtner----Van Persie

Its a very flexible front 3 and id expect alot of swapping positions throughout the match.

Wont be easy at all,I'm thinking a 2-1 victory for Arsenal, would love another 7-0 or 6-1 against them though :p

I always find midweek games that aren't on the box are the worst to get good links for.

I've had a lot of faith in Bendtner over the past few years and I've received a bit of slagging over it but I still think he has it in him be a good center forward. He has a very good goal scoring record to be fair. I also like the way recently he's been putting in a good shift on the wing, it shows how he's willing to be less selfish I guess.

You could see that coming a mile away, he ran ten yards to kick him because had fouled him a second ago. He needs to cut that out.

Ah he's still young.. Although though he'd kinda curbed it after the sending off earlier in the season.

Doesn't matter how young he is, if you want to be a Premier League footballer getting yourself booked in the 4th minute for a petty foul because he fouled you a minute ago isn't something you can do.

Can see why its technically interpreted as onside but is still pretty ridiculous.

Reckon Arsenal can still take this. V. Persie looking very sharp.

Absolutely disgraceful decision!!! This is total rubbish, how can the linesman not call that offside!! RIDICULOUS
