Has anyone ever used this site? http://game-drop.co.uk/
It seems too cheap to be a true.
    Is it a scam?

That really is well cheap. Don't know if I'd trust it or not though.

There was once a time when every website on the Internet was registered less than a week ago, so that doesn't really hold any weight.

If it is a scam though get in early, chances are you'll get stuff at that price you'll tell all your mates or come back to this thread and let us know how great they are and then there's more people to scam because of word of mouth.

Just for fun, i sent an order for the cheapest thing i found. Let's see what happens. ;)

looks slightly cheap and thrown together to me. I'd be wary of this one but who knows. Everything has to start somewhere.

Well i placed an order for the play and charge kit for 9.99.
I got a mail from paypal that my order was received and completed, but nothing more.

    Yep. Does look VERY different.

    Also.

    http://game-drop.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=41

Rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrright, I totally believe it's going to be the equivalent of 295 euro for a 250 GB console AND Kinect. Hmmmmmmm.

And now my product is gone.

I think it's time i'm gonna contact paypal now. :D

Looks as though it's still in development could well be genuine and the OP could have unwittingly stumbled across it

Looks like it is still in development alright. Could explain the sudden change of appereance too.

"Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/gamedrop/public_html/index.php on line 203"

Woudln't order from them until they had it sorted, or until some people confirm its not a scam.

I used the online contact-page they had on wednesday. Still no reply.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,557 ✭✭✭quinnd6

I saw some people on the xbox.com forum recommending it but I think they were scammers.
Until I hear definite proof I'm going to assume its a scam or was a scam as the site has no products on it now.
If something sounds too good to be true it usually is fake.

website looks an awful lot more professional now. May have just been in a test mode before but then it defo shouldn't have been taking orders.

But now it's selling furniture!? Or is that just a template? Also when clicking in to the games section I get:
    Games
There are no products matching the selection.

Looks like the furniture is just a template since it's a picture..but the only product they have is an old Xbox 360 arcade, strange
