Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

why has your 9 year old daughter got a blog?

aaanyways, the pictures are quite good especially for a 9 year old, but now you'll have her constantly trying to rob your gear ;)

Great to see kids get into shooting :)

I bought my 14yr old a compact for her last birthday, she's all happy-snappy but it's a start!

Our 3 and 7 yr olds have toy cameras and often come up with some very artsy images, tempted to use them as my own on a few occasions :D

I handed over my 1000d to my friends 6 year old the other day (with one rule, DON'T TOUCH THE GLASS) and was delighted with his enthusiasm and general good eye (he's 6 and didn't chop off feet, something I did until I was 20).
I'm now searching the house for an extremely old digital (3mp) I have somewhere to pass on, sure if her breaks it, so be it.*

Your daughters blog is cute, her sum-up of of the Sky Sports controversy is brilliant.

Forget about the sexism and the politics, it actually was just MEAN!

This whole thread is adorable and your daughter is off to a great start on being an awesome person. Her blog even has an ironic title.

I suspect Daddy has been helping her with most of it :pac:

    Great stuff there, DK.
It's important to nurture her creative side.

Kids see the world differently than us adults, so it's fascinating to see what they capture with a camera. My 8 year old nephew will make his First Holy Communion in May & I've promised him a camera. Since he was small, he has always taken pictures with camera phones & compacts.

Great shots DK. I say you get a certain sense of satisfaction when you see your little one doing so well. I know I do with mine.

Nurturing her creative side is very important and if it's with a camera then all the better. If she stays with it, she'll have a life times experience in photography by the time she's 30. :)
