What a half !!! , slightly dissapointed since we had a lead, but could be a lot worse....

I wasn't hugely confident of a win here but we look well capable, stopping Sunderland scoring is obviously the hard part.

Should get the win, shaky a the back though. Great match

How is Sessegnon doing for Sunderland lads?

Some nice touches so far, playing a bit too deep for me though, i thought he was going to be in behind Gyan.

Nutmegged Lampard (i think it was) and was unlucky not to get a free.

However he has had a few nervey moments, gave the ball away twice that I remember, this has been an extremely quick paced game, end to end stuff - so I think he is still adjusting to the pace of the League as they say.

yep - one of those days when the ****ing goalposts are cursed against us

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,328 ✭✭✭✭ctrl-alt-delete

    Handball surely?

Only noticed that on the replay, Malbranque definitely handled it on the line, and threw both his hands up,

Very lucky, but it should have been in anyways, don't know how it stayed out.

This is a fantastic game, end to end!

Chelsea seem to be winning almost everything in midfiled, building attack after attack. Surely just a matter of time.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,328 ✭✭✭✭ctrl-alt-delete

Have to say Malbranque is putting in some shift tonight,

I'd say he won't last the game, he is sprinting, closing down, blocks, lunging tackles in everywhere - obviously doing the job Cattermole normally does.

We have to make this count, if we apply all this pressure and not score we're just asking to drop points.

look like the Blues are beginning to really launch this half.
    goood goood

The best thing about this is despite being a goal up we look like a team who is a goal down, hungry as fook with a point to prove! I just hope we can keep it up.

At least we are looking defensively much more solid this half while maintaining lovely flowing attacks. Just need another for the safety net

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,556 ✭✭✭the_monkey

Anelka motivated to play better with Torres coming soon !!!

    :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,837 ✭✭✭abelard

Swap Kalou for Torres tonight and we could well have 5 by now, he's been alright but just lacking that quality finish at times, despite doing very well for his goal.
