Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

it may not be the hard drive - you need to boot up in safe mode and do a repair. There are loads of instructions on the web and the microsoft website. For example google "Bluescreen on startup" or google the actual error on your screen.

or go to the microsoft support site for the windows version you are running and you'll get an instruction there. It's almost always repairable.

As for recovery - where are you?

Depending on the wording on the Blue Screen you could easily repair this yourself.

What does it say near the top? (Unmountable_Boot_Volume, etc)

Whatever it says you can google it and you'll find a solution easily enough.
